ACTIVITIES
Our efforts fall in three broad categories:
Cultural Enrichment
Team members lead the children in constructing pieces of art such as crochet, bracelets, floral art, creative art... about every 2-3 weeks
We do educational adventures every 3 months to bring children to explore the arts, museums and caves of the country
Health
We do a campaign about health that we organize every 3 months
Physical education (not yet fully integrated in the program) but will be done every week
Education
We conduct a Summer Camp every year and workshops on effective
communication and management every other month
We oversee the training on psychology and correct child care protocol every weekend
We also celebrate important events with the children:
International Day of Childhood
14th of June a day of honoring the children by distributing presents
Birthday of the association
22nd of December
a fun day of games and other festivities
International Day of Peace
21st of September
Contest Princess of Soleil Children
a pagent for the young women of Cite Soleil to showcase their beauty and talents in order to restore the young women of Cite Soleil's self-esteem
